How to take care of your skin when you fly

Are you leaving on vacation soon and already dreading the dryness your skin will have to deal with? Find out how to care for your skin to arrive fresh and glowing at your destination!

1. MOISTURIZE YOUR SKIN
Long flights mean dry air: humidity is scarce in the air. So there’s a good chance you’ll find yourself with dry, dull skin after just a few hours. Your best ally is the famous sheet mask! Nothing better than these paper masks to moisturize your skin. If you’re reluctant to look like a serial killer on the fly (we understand), opt for localized masks like the ones for under-eye bags.

2. ARM YOURSELF AGAINST POLLUTION
Yes, even on a plane, we can’t escape it! Whether it’s the blue light from our screens (yes, we have to pass the time!) or the recycled air that we breathe (for the glamorous side, we’ll pass), aggressions are everywhere. Take an anti-pollution facial spray with you and “mist” your face several times throughout your flight.

3. APPLY A MOISTURIZER + LIP BALM
After the soothing effect of your sheet mask and mist, there’s nothing better than applying your favorite moisturizer to accentuate its results. Choose a thick, rich one, as it will help your skin absorb and retain the moisture it has just received. Pay special attention to your lips, which will be the first to show signs of dryness. Always carry a highly moisturizing lip balm with you wherever you go!

4. A SPECIAL EYE MASK
After your skincare routine, your skin will have recovered some of its initial good health. But no in-flight beauty routine is complete without the most important factor: sleep! We’re not going to beat around the (cream) bush, for glowing skin, you’ll need to rest. But sleeping stuck on a plane with 150 other people is no easy task… That’s where earplugs and eye masks come in! If you’re really struggling to fall asleep, try spraying your pillow with a relaxing spray.

5. MULTI-FUNCTIONAL LANDING PRODUCTS
To be even fresher when you arrive, you can also go through the make-up box. No need to bring your entire beauty kit with you, a few multi-purpose products will do the trick! Choose a base that doubles as foundation and concealer, a blush that doubles as lipstick, a miniature mascara, a highlighter that doubles as eyeshadow and a brow product. And there you have it, a complete look with only 5 products! Who can beat that?
